PCV Category D1 (Mini-bus)

Applying for your PSV Provisional Licence
Before you start your practical PCV Training Course, you will need to have first obtained your PCV Provisional Licence and also passed your Theory Test.

To qualify for the PCV Provisional Licence you must:-

(1) Hold a category B licence (car licence).

(2) Be over the age of 21, unless you are a member of the armed forces or authorised by the Ministry of Defence.

(3) Apply for provisional D1 entitlement on your driving licence.

(4) Meet the medical and eyesight requirements. A D4-DVLA Medical Report must be completed by a qualified GP. Please Note: If you decide to use your own GP you may be charged as much as £96 or more for this service.

Once you have received your PCV Provisional Licence, we can arrange for you to sit the PCV Theory Test (Fee: £32.00) at a test centre of your choice. On passing your PCV Theory Test, we will be able to discuss with you and book your practical driver training followed by your test.

Getting Started
To get you on your way, we have produced a Starter Pack to make the process of getting your PCV licence a little easier.

Because everyone has different driving abilities, we offer an ability assessment before booking the training course. Upon completion of the assessment, our Instructor will advise you how many days training he thinks you will need to take your D1 test. Typically, candidates book a three day intensive course from Wednesday to Friday (six hours training per day) and we arrange your driving test for Friday afternoon.

STARTER PACK 2 - £185.00 + Vat
This pack contains:
1. DVLA Vocational Licence Application Pack.
2. Medical Examination by our doctor.
3. DSA Theory Test Training Book
4. DSA Hazard Perception Test CD ROM.
5. Theory Test (inc fee).
6. 1 hour Assessment Drive.

STARTER PACK 3 - £250.00 + Vat
This pack contains:
1. DVLA Vocational Licence Application Pack.
2. Medical Examination by our doctor.
3. DSA Theory Test Training Book
4. Theory Training Day at our DSA Approved Training Centre.
5. Theory Test (inc fee).
6. 1 hour Assessment Drive.

Booking Your Training Course

The average D1 training course is 3 days. Cost £600.00 + vat and the driving test fee currently £105.00. Our costs are as follows:-

1 Day £200.00 + Vat
2 Days £400.00 + Vat
3 Days £600.00 + Vat
4 Days £800.00 + Vat

Our training day commences at 09:00 and finishes at 16:00 with a 1 hour break for lunch from 12:30 to 13:30. Times may be adjusted by arrangement.
